Polifibra Folien GmbH receives Sustainability Certificate for 2020

Polifibra Folien GmbH received the REMONDIS Sustainability Certificate for 2020, an award recognised across all sectors. The REMONDIS certificate is a measuring and certification tool for companies which handle resources and the superordinate topic of climate protection responsibly.

In order to be awarded this certificate, the waste management of a company is, in respect to disposal or recycling of primary raw materials, energy consumption and CO²-emission, primarily looked at. Based on the life cycle assessment pursuant DIN EN ISO 14040, the evaluation of company data is carried out, using a scientific calculation model, by the independent Fraunhofer Institute UMSICHT.

By obtaining the Sustainability Certificate, Polifibra honours an important cornerstone of its corporate philosophy: namely to make a social commitment and to contribute to the protection of the environment. "We are extremely pleased to have received the Sustainability Certificate. It validates our forward-thinking approach concerning resource-efficient production processes and reduction of CO²-emissions," says Polifibra manager Andreas Spahn.
