"Offensive in the plasma business" - Stefan Bange takes over global plasma sales

12.11.2024 - Polifibra Folien GmbH is stepping up sales of its plasma-treated films and products with a new sales expert for this business area. The Limburg-based film specialist has hired Stefan Bange, a globally networked sales manager. Bange, who was born in Maintal, Germany, and has held various positions of responsibility in the technical textiles sector in the USA and Europe for many years, has been part of the Polifibra team since August 2024 and has set himself the goal of establishing the still young plasma business segment on the market.

Polifibra is one of the few companies in the industry to have a system for the large-scale plasma treatment of films. The innovative plasma treatment delivers high-quality results and is significantly more sustainable and robust than conventional processes. Following intensive integration and familiarisation with the new plasma business, the company is now strengthening its market presence under the leadership of Stefan Bange, who will assume global sales responsibility for Polifibra's plasma business as Global Business Development Manager Functionalised Materials.
“Plasma treatment is still a new process in the film industry. However, we can already offer our customers customized solutions with different plasma treatment methods. This enables us to achieve more efficient and better adhesion properties for our customers,” says Stefan Bange.

Bange, who has a background in the textile industry, has many years of experience and expertise in the tape/adhesive tape industry and technical textiles. Due to his previous activities, he has an excellent and global network and is therefore the ideal sales partner for Polifibra. His task is to approach and acquire new customers in the aforementioned plasma sector, with an initial focus on the tape/adhesive tape industry. Together with Polifibra Managing Director Andreas Spahn, he recently attended the AFERA conference, the most important meeting of the European adhesive tape industry. However, the potential applications for plasma-treated films go far beyond this industry and extend to the construction, electrical, automotive and abrasives industries. “Plasma coatings offer many advantages and are useful in numerous industries,” emphasizes Bange.
