Polifibra – Development, Market Situation and Plasma

05.01.2025 - Polifibra Folien GmbH is able to look back on the eventful and exciting year of 2024 and accepts, as it were, the challenges that arose in the last quarter of this year with regard to the changing global political environment next year. In 2025, we will steadily focus on the increasing establishment of the sustainable plasma process within the production process.

The financial year of 2024, up until September, turned out to be a success for us as the Limburg-based film specialist. Meaning that the planned investments in replacing and modernizing production machines were completed in full and on time, which led to both an increase in production capacity and an improvement in efficiency. Since October, however, Polifibra also feels the effects of the tense global economic and political situation. In particular, in the automotive, caravan and construction industries, where Polifibra has a lot of customers, incoming orders have decreased. This development has prompted Polifibra to make some adjustments to its operations in order to be able to react flexibly to such changed circumstances.

Despite the current challenges, we as a film producer have taken an important strategic step by intensifying our plasma programme in the second half of 2024. With membership in the AFERA association, the most important European network of the adhesive tape industry, and with Stefan Bange as our new sales representative, numerous promising and positive contacts have been established, which are now bringing forth initial successes in the area of plasma applications. Promising agreements have already been signed for the coming year. The expansion of the plasma segment will be further reinforced by a new dedicated subpage on our company website. Polifibra Folien GmbH will therefore continue to establish itself as an innovative creator in the film industry in 2025, and we would also like to be recognized as such.

A precise outlook for the financial year 2025 is still difficult right now due to the influence of many external factors. Global political conditions, such as the situation in Ukraine, the conflict in the Middle East, the upcoming German parliamentary elections and the new US presidency, are generally making it more difficult for the industrial sector to plan. However, in 2025 we will continue to rely on our original strength, namely being a reliable and trustworthy partner for our customers. Our goal as a film specialist is and remains to be a problem solver by being flexible in terms of delivery dates and by innovative measures. Following extensive investments in recent years, we at Polifibra Folien GmbH are now increasingly focusing on our operational business as well as the further development of our plasma production.
