Because of the many positive developments during 2023 mentioned above, the company management led by Managing Director Andreas Spahn is extremely optimistic about the future.
As in previous years, Polifibra Folien GmbH was able to reap the benefits of extremely high demand as well as full order books due to its versatility and customized offers for its customers. The large-scale plasma treatment of films, now fully integrated into the production process, is also increasingly contributing to the success of the film company. Plasma treatment of films is becoming more and more important on the film market due to its energy-efficient, environmentally friendly and high-quality procedure. Polifibra being one of the pioneers in regard to this innovative technology will, in cooperation with research institutes, continue to carry out fundamental development and research work in this field in the future. In addition, the coming year will see plasma production further developed and advanced within the company. Next year, Polifibra is also planning to focus on continued development of the production of battery films, which is becoming ever more complex, but increasingly application-intensive at the same time.

Besides innovation and development work, Polifibra Folien GmbH continues to resolutely pursue its corporate strategy of sustainability and energy efficiency. As a result, the film specialist has extensively invested in the energy sector, and lastingly improved its carbon footprint. To achieve this a large-scale solar project with an output of around 100,000 KWh and CO² savings of around 58 tonnes annually was realized on the roofs of the warehouse and the production building at the company’s site in Limburg an der Lahn. In addition, the combined heat and power plant, which had already been operating successfully for ten years, was replaced by a more modern, more efficient and more powerful version. In 2024, additional new, energy-saving installations are to be integrated into the production process, further enhancing Polifibra’s sustainable and economic development.

In an intense financial year, Polifibra Folien GmbH once again proved to be resilient in the face of external factors and would like to thank its customers, suppliers and partners for the trust-based cooperation, which constitutes the basis for the company’s successful development. Last but not least, the employees of the film company have once again contributed outstandingly to the success and the achievement of the company’s goals. Also, Polifibra Folien GmbH was awarded the title of ‘Employer of the Future’ by the German Innovation Institute for Sustainability and Digitalization this year and, in order to retain qualified employees with attractive working conditions, would like to continue to live up to this seal of quality in the future and consequently continuing to guarantee high-quality work results. Because of the many positive developments during 2023 mentioned above, the company management led by Managing Director Andreas Spahn is extremely optimistic about the future and is looking forward to continuing to work with all those involved in the film sector in the new year.
