Polifibra awarded with REMONDIS Sustainability Certificate 2023
Rewarded again – as in previous years, Polifibra Folien GmbH was once again rewarded with the REMONDIS Sustainability Certificate, an award recognized across all sectors, for its responsible use of resources and its active contribution to climate protection in 2023.

The values calculated for Polifibra in 2023 equate to a saving of primary raw ‘fossil’ material of 5.2 t oil equivalent, of primary raw ‘metal’ material of 0.1 t copper equivalent, of primary raw ‘biogenic’ material of 6.5 cu m wood equivalent, an energy generation or saving of 90.1 MWh and a CO2 saving of 3.9 t of CO2 equivalent.

The REMONDIS certificate serves as a measuring and verification tool, and primarily looks at the waste management of a company in respect to disposal or recycling of raw materials, energy consumption and CO2 emissions. Based on the life cycle assessment as defined in DIN EN ISO 14040, the evaluation of company data is carried out, using a scientific calculation model.
