Andreas Spahn has picked up the reins of Polifibra Folien GmbH in Limburg an der Lahn, Germany a little over a year ago. 44-year-old Spahn was appointed on September 1, 2018 to manage the business of the film specialist in tandem with co-founder Klaus Jorkowski. Whilst Klaus Jorkowski increasingly withdrew from operative business and essentially acts in an advisory capacity Andreas Spahn has, in his first year of management, predominantly prepared corporate strategy for the future.

Expansion of customer structure

Focusing on the expansion of customer structure, particularly in the industrial and electronic sector, was and is paramount to strategic positioning. As a result, initial investments in state-of-the-art cutting machinery have been made. Such machinery will ensure Polifibra's competitive position in coming years and in addition contribute to the extension of the value chain. Besides new machinery, with its environmentally friendly and sustainable production technology (key word: CO2-footprint), Polifibra invested in additional research and development projects and the improvement of existing storage and production facilities.

Under the management of Andreas Spahn different trends in the industry where analysed in recent month and the augmentation of new markets firmly promoted. By increasing cross-selling to regular customers Polifibra was able to compensate for weaker market segments and identify new potential. Andreas Spahn sees great prospects for Polifibra in the area of E-mobility which the company pursues resolutely and with research-intensive projects.
"We are very happy with the progress of the company and the entire Polifibra-team alike. In recent months, we've taken major investment decisions in a difficult market environment and consequently set the course for the future. For that reason, I am very optimistic and look forward to the next few years", says Andreas Spahn.
